The Story

A double wedding you say. Why?

There are several reasons that we have decided to tackle the ridiculous task of having a double wedding.

The first reason is purely practical. The Quinn/Hall wedding and the Perlmutter/Hartley wedding were both originally planned for the summer of 2018 about a month apart. Since our guest lists include around 100 of the same people, it meant that we would be asking our friends from California or Colorado, or anywhere in the world, to take 2 trips to the Catskills in one summer. That just didn’t seem right.

That brought us to thinking about it differently. After all, we are unconventional couples living by our own rules. Why not make our own rules for our weddings? The 4 of us are all part of an amazing group of people that we are happy to consider our extended family. We have spent the lion’s share of our adult lives working together, being together, and celebrating together. Michael and Todd are business partners and have been creative collaborators on some of the biggest projects in their careers. Even Todd and Adrian’s marriage proposal happened at the Quinn/Hall residence with the intrinsic help of their family. In addition to just being more convenient, celebrating our nuptials together seemed natural.

For me (Todd) personally, I admire Michael and Whitney’s relationship and I am amazed by the life that they have crafted. It is an honor to share this occasion with them, but the biggest reason to put these ceremonies together, is that it will be a great opportunity to bring all of our extended families and friends together for this very special day of huge, gigantic, love!
