Hunter Lake Hang: Monday August 27th

Here is a little more info on the lake hang. Hunter Lake is approximately an hour and a half from Hurley.

EXIT 98 off Rt 17…PARKSVILLE!

After you come off the exit take a right. Go straight through the intersection, past the gas station on your right.  Just past the sign for the Rolling River Cafe, take the left fork.  Drive all the way around until you see the sign for Hunter Lake Campground at the corner of Hunter Lake Drive and Hunter Lake Road (don’t turn onto Hunter Lake Drive!).  After 3 houses, look for the silver gate for the driveway to 588 Hunter Lake Road.  Drive down a long gravel drive until you see the lake.  

 

It will be a potluck BBQ. Bring some grillables and we will supply a ton of charcoal and grills. As for beer and booze, we will have some, but you should bring some too, and pickup some ice if you can. We will have some coolers available.

Bring your bathing suit and feel free to use a kayak, paddleboat, pontoon boat, sunfish, etc. Only Todd and Randy can drive the speedboat, but there will be a chance to spill your drink on that too if there’s enough time. Bring sunscreen. We will have a little bit of tent cover, but not a ton. Bring a camping chair if you have one.

There are hotels and Air BnBs in the area and we are accepting campers as well. If you are camping, please let us know by shooting us an email. We will have port-o-potties and there is an outdoor shower.

Parking will be tight, but let’s understand the rules in advance. No cars can park below the circle on our driveway. Leave your car on the left side of the driveway as you come in. If you want to drop stuff and people off down by the lake, you can, just go right back up and park on the side or on the designated lot. Please don’t ask if you can park in front of the house. Carpool as much as you can.

We will be heading to the lake Sunday eve and people can camp with us starting then if you wish. The same goes for the hotels. We will get the most out of the lake as we can on Monday. If you have RSVP’d yes but don’t think you are going to come, please re-RSVP no. The numbers will affect how much parking we will have to carve out of the woods as well as how many facilities to rent. Thanks for being understanding. It’s going to be great!
